"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." – William Butler Yates Latin is committed not only to academic excellence but also to the future of the youth in our community. By endowing a Scholarship Fund, we want to enable any child with the desire and drive to benefit from Latin's extraordinary faculty, resources and facilities, and extra-curricular opportunities like clubs, music, theatre, sports, student government and philanthropy. We are proud to be a part of the Latin community, and we want to see it continue to produce successful students who will contribute to their communities in Chicago and around the globe. We truly believe that to do so we must bring the best and brightest to Latin and give them resources and tools to thrive. It means a great deal to us to help the school provide financial support to talented students to help them fulfill their potential.
