Scholarship Dinner 2018 19 Gregory R. Baker Endowed Memorial Scholarship For nearly 30 years, my husband Greg Baker served Latin School as an English and history teacher, swimming coach, and mentor to hundreds of upper school students. His personal courage inspired many to emulate him and think, laugh, and love fully. After Greg's death in 2000, I began work with the Development Office to establish a scholarship in his name. The recipient would be a student who exhibited Greg's love of life and learning but would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend Latin. Currently the Gregory R. Baker Endowed Memorial Scholarship helps provide an upper school education for its fourth scholar, who is happily thriving in the Latin community. Greg's family, friends, former students, and I find great joy that his name and ideals are remembered through this scholarship. Gail Connelly-Baker Greg Baker
