You also can send notes to the Alumni Office at alumni@latinschool.org. 1930 Louise Neff Collins ���30 passed away on September 26, 2012. Louise maintained a strong will, clear mind and deep appreciation for life into her nineties. We extend our condolences to her daughters, Debbie Collins Papps ���56, Judy Collins Hannestad ���58, Kathleen Collins ���63, and to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her family and friends. 1943 Harland Oates Joanne Mills Reeve in 1946. Edson Spencer died on March 25, 2012 at his home in Wayzata, Minnesota, after battling progressive supranuclear palsy. The former head of Honeywell, Inc., Spencer formed his own company in 1987 focusing on automation and aerospace technology. After serving as regional manager for Honeywell Asia based in Tokyo from 1959 to 1964, U.S.-Japanese relations were among his passions, and he served on the U.S.-Japan Business Council and the Trilateral Commission. Spencer and his wife of 62 years, the former Harriet McClure Stuart, were founders and longtime supporters of the Yellowstone Park Foundation. We extend our condolences to his sister, Suzanne Spencer Garvin ���48, his family, friends and classmates. 1945 George Wood 58 L AT I N M AGAZINE Katharine Carr writes, ���Almost two years ago I moved to a retirement complex in Rocky River, Ohio. The services provided are excellent, and I do not miss the responsibilities of my house. In fall 2012, my youngest grandson will enter his sophomore year at Vassar College, my alma mater. I���ve enjoyed discussing his classes with him and picturing him on campus. I have an occasional telephone visit with Kay Reynolds Hill and Ann MacClennan White.��� 1946 Gloria Canepa Morse Jay Schiller Joanne Mills Reeve passed away peacefully on August 7, 2012 with her family at her side. We extend our condolences to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her classmates and friends. 1947 George Wood ���47 passed away on September 8, 2012. He was the son of Headmaster James O. Wood (1932-1951), played football, basketball and soccer at Latin and was a Korean War veteran. We extend our condolences to his wife, Alison, his sons, Chris and Matt, daughter Alison, Jr. and his grandchildren. 1952 Bob Mendelson Lynn McNulty Koons passed away on September 6, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona. A fifth-generation Chicagoan, Lynn loved books and teaching. She taught writing and English at the School of the Art Institute and Columbia College in Chicago and inspired many students to love the written word. Our condolences to her family, including cousins Debbie Collins Papps ���56, Judy Collins Hannestad ���58 and Kathleen Collins ���63, and to her family, friends, and classmates.
