You also can send notes to the Alumni Office at alumni@latinschool.org. 1927 Gunhild Werner Grashorn passed away on Harland Oates December 13, 2011, one month before her 103rd birthday. Our condolences to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as to her sister and friends. 1936 Eugene Garvy passed away on March 9, 2012 in West Palm Beach, FL. We extend our condolences to his family, classmates and friends. 1941 Gunhild Werner Grashorn '27 Andrew Berkey '41 1943 Andrew Berkey died peacefully at his home in Rancho Mirage, CA on April 6, 2011. We extend our condolences to his family, classmates and friends. Barbara McClurg Potter passed away on January 25, 2012 in Jupiter Island, FL, surrounded by her children. An accomplished athlete and civic leader, she served on women's boards for the Field Museum, Rush University Medical Center and the Chicago History Museum. Mrs. Potter's grandfather, General A.C. McClurg, provided classrooms for Latin School in his home from 1890-1894. Our most sincere condolences to her sons Charles '77 and Trevor '74 and their families, as well as to her classmates and friends. Dr. Richard Davis reminds us of the athletic feats of the 1942 football team, coached by Bill Hoffman. The team won four out of five games in the '42 season, restoring Latin's place as a football powerhouse. 1944 Grace Dodge Kirk Camille McDonald Weiss Grace Dodge Kirk and her husband, William, live in Wilmette and spend winters in Menlo Park, CA. Recently they met up with Howard Carroll and Camille McDonald Weiss and their spouses. As you can see from these updates, they are all avoiding Chicago's cold winters! Howard B. Carroll and wife Virginia have moved to Westminster Place in Evanston and winter in Tequesta, FL. Camille McDonald Weiss and husband John also live in Westminster Place and winter in Sarasota, FL. Class of 1944 friends Grace Dodge Kirk, Howard B. Carroll and Camille McDonald Weiss enjoyed a visit recently. Latin's 1942 football team, coached by Bill Hoffman 32 Latin Magazine
