Class Notes Just across a ravine from Ashton, Fred Annes is busy working on a new body of sculpture. During the "season," Fred teaches skiing and participates in Challenge Aspen as a volunteer with injured veterans. Great cause, Fred! Nan Goldberg is busy in San Francisco with her book clubs, two dogs and one cat. Her daughter, Lillian, is a senior at Oberlin in Ohio. Now almost an empty-nester, she remains, like me, technologically challenged. If you can't call, text or email her, I strongly suggest smoke signals. Mary Pacifico Curtis was in Chicago very recently, and due to the hurricane heading toward my home in coastal Georgia, I was unable to see her and her husband. I know she has recently published a book of poetry and is very happy. Ginger Ryser lives in Lake Oconee, GA, and has a pub called the Silver Moon. She describes it as a "neighborhood joint" but I'm sure, knowing Ginger, that it is much more than that! After college, Ginger lived in Chicago and Madison, WI. Tiring of the city environment, she wandered into Georgia. ere she became the executive chef at several golf clubs. e Silver Moon is near Reynolds Plantation, where I have stayed and played in several golf tournaments. I can understand why Ginger moved there and why she may now leave. With the natural beauty and all of the resorts in that region, the road situation has become untenable. Ginger may be moving to "clean air" mountains and set up the Silver Moon atop beautiful Lake Burton. For 32 years, Jay Muller and his wife, Cindy, have owned and run Muller and Muller Architects. I just completed my 18th Chicago Mackinac race." Jay and Cindy also have a home in Ludington, MI, where they enjoy the majestic sunsets on their bluff. In addition to sailing, Jay has taken up flying, and he says that "I fly anywhere, in any weather, on any plane; truly exhilarating (if you're not afraid to fly!)." He closes with, "If anyone wants some chill time in Michigan or a sail on a sunny (or rainy and windy) day, let me know, and we can set something up!!"
