Roman Connections In Print 1. NaNcy buNGe '60 Nancy's latest book, The Midwestern Novel: Literary Populism from Huckleberry Finn to the Present, is now available. The book explores the Midwestern literary tradition by examining the work of 30 Midwestern writers, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Willa Cather, Ernest Hemingway, Richard Wright, Saul Bellow, Toni Morrison, Jonathan Franzen, Jane Smiley and Louise Erdrich. 2. lise Weil '68 Lise brought out the fourth issue of her online journal, Dark Matter: Women Witnessing, which publishes writing and artwork created in response to an age of massive species loss and ecological collapse. This issue, "MAKING KIN," explores the human/non-human divide. It features extraordinary teachings from both human and non-human beings. He conducted the first workshop in July 2016, at which he taught a group of incoming high school freshmen basic concepts about money, spending, saving and ownership.
