News & Notes Trustee News e school would like to extend its sincere thanks to those who completed their service this past year: Meta Berger, Michael J. Berland '86, William Conway '96, Lee Golub, Annmarie Neumeier, Michelle Parekh, Sara Crown Star and John Supera '84. We would also like to welcome the following new trustees: Pamela Bless Pamela Bless is co-president of the Latin School Parent Association. Since moving to the Chicago area in 2013, she has volunteered for the Latin PA as a grade chair and as upper school vice president. She has been an active community and school volunteer for many years and served as PTA vice president and chair of the annual school fundraiser in Carmel, California. She also serves as a financial review committee head for Impact 100 Chicago. Pam is a graduate of Princeton University and spent her professional career as a reinsurance underwriter in New York. She held management positions at Transatlantic Reinsurance Company and Swiss Re America. Nicole maNN Nicole Mann is a Latin School parent and has been an active school parent volunteer over the past decade. Most recently, she has worked on the Endowment Campaign and the Latin School Speaker Series committees (2015-2016). Before her children came to Latin for middle school, Nicole was a parent volunteer at Chicago City Day School and Lincoln Park Cooperative Nursery School. She has served on the board of several institutions, including the board of Lincoln Park Cooperative Nursery School (2007-2008), the Guild Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago (2012-present), and the High Jump Board (2014-present), currently serving as High Jump's board secretary and working on the High Jump Governance and Program committees. Previously, she practiced general internal medicine for four years in Boston followed by two years at Kaiser Permanente in the Bay Area. She completed her medical residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 1998 after graduating from Dartmouth Medical School in 1995 and from Harvard College in 1991. Dara milNer Dara Milner is a Latin School parent and an active member of the school community. She has held several Parent Association positions, including president (2014-2016), corresponding secretary and grade chair. She served as the Parent Association representative on Latin's board of trustees from 2014-2016, serving on the Academic Program and Development committees. She has also served on the Auction and Scholarship Dinner leadership teams for several years. Outside of Latin, Dara serves on the High Jump Board and the Comer Development Board and is the co-founder of Callie's Nut-Free Treats, an effort that raises money for food allergy research. Professionally, Dara is an independent educational consultant in the metropolitan Chicago area. She holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an MPA from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. Kelly cameroN NewtoN '00 Kelly Cameron Newton is currently a principal in the Chicago office of e Boston Consulting Group, a top tier management consulting firm with over 80 offices in 46 countries around the globe. Her client work focuses on pricing and sales transformation across a range of industrial goods companies including distribution, agriculture and real estate. Since joining in 2005, Kelly has worked in the Chicago, Amsterdam and Sydney offices. Kelly holds an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management as well as a Bachelor of Arts in engineering with high honors from Dartmouth College. Kelly is a third generation Latin alumnus with both her father and grandfather attending Latin before her. As an alum, Kelly stays involved with the school and has helped plan each of her class' reunions and serves as an alumni class rep. She has also served on the Alumni Board since 2009. As Alumni Outreach sub-committee chair, she introduced the "Life After Latin" panel series for the Latin upper school to help current students connect high school interests to potential careers as well as help alums reconnect with the school.
