Clarissa Flint Dillon writes: "[In April] I'll be running an adult discussion group at a local library [in Haverford, PA] called 'And the winner is...' We'll explore the current political scene and the presidential election. I did this at Latin in 1968 with my high school students, and they did a splendid job. My 'colonial life' continues, with ongoing research, maintaining an 18th century-style kitchen garden at a local site, hearth-cooking workshops, attending local programs, and more. I expecially enjoy working with students. Local schools have 'colonial day' in May and bring in people to demonstrate and talk about life in the 18th century. My program is 'Dr. Mom, Colonial-Style.' I bring ingredients, medicinals I made and some instruments – like a pleau, used for bleeding. Happy Spring!" Class Rep Ivan Strauss reports: "We begin on a sad note. Denny Mayer's wife, Linda, passed away this past January. ey had been married for 56 years. ey have three children and a good number of grandchildren, the oldest of whom was married last year. "Catherine Rose was married last year. She and her husband live in California and are ardent rock climbers. "Ross Robbins and his wife, Irene, are enjoying life in Boca Grande, FL. ey expect to return to Chicago for a month during the summer.
