With the knowledge that a friend of Nancy's was raising funds on www.YouCaring.com, the Class of 1963 sent its own notice to its close Latin classmates. e response kick- started the campaign and within a couple of weeks, Nancy was within $3,000 of the estimated cost of the medical treatment ($40,000) which she hopes will help her to regain her independence. Nancy's Latin classmates have selflessly contributed, but more significantly have reached out to their friend by email and letter – a testament to why this class been one of Latin School of Chicago's best examples of alumni spirit.
