Witman Award for Mathematics Peter Wiggin Performing Arts Theater Arts Kristen Garrett Marjorie Muller Vocal Music Eden Schwartz Instrumental Music Jacob Brody Physical Education Dexter Canright Ellie Lambrakis Award for Science Brian Greenblatt The Marshall B. Front Award was established by the Committee on Trustees of the Board of Trustees to be conferred not more often than annually to that current or former trustee of Latin School of Chicago whose dedication and stewardship have been extraordinary and whose efforts have truly enhanced the school. The Shipp Outstanding Educator Award Kirk Greer The Shipp family presents this award annually to the member of the faculty who best represents the ideal of independent school teaching through excellence in classroom instruction, demonstrated concern for the healthy development of students, and extensive and valuable activity on behalf of the school as a whole. Karen Sue Berger Community Service Award (faculty) Rebecca Myers Karen Sue Berger was a kindergarten student at Latin School who died of cystic fibrosis in 1965. The award is presented in her memory by the Sally and Miles Berger Family Foundation to a student and faculty member in recognition of their outstanding contributions in community service. Augustus K. Maxwell, Jr. Award Eric Ramsey The Alumni Association presents this award in honor of the late Gus Maxwell '37, who served as president of the Alumni Association from 1966 to 1979. The award is given to the member of the faculty, staff or administration who has demonstrated extraordinary support, loyalty and devotion to the Latin School community and who has rendered such outstanding service as to make a lasting impact on the school. Edwin S. Van Gorder III Award Charlene Huang Olson This award was established by the Alumni Association in honor of Dr. Edwin S. Van Gorder III, who served as Latin's headmaster from 1969 to 1973. It is presented to the member of the Latin community who has demonstrated extraordinary service to Latin School through volunteer effort and devotion. Jonathan E.
