Life After Latin Breakfasts From directing international protocol for the Mayor's Office to writing investigative pieces for magazines, from researching companies as an analyst to pitching reality shows and commercials, from designing software for keeping medical research streamlined to marketing companies digitally, Latin alumni are engaged in fascinating careers. During April, the Alumni Association board of directors organized a series of three breakfast panels for upper school students to learn from successful alumni professionals how they ended up where they are today. Alumni guests spoke about how they developed their professional interests and shared advice about navigating the decisions today's upper school students will be making in the next few years concerning college, majors and jobs. The events were extremely well attended and The Forum student newspaper described the discussions as "honest, engaging and thoughtful" and filled with invaluable advice. Students and faculty are looking forward to more panels in the future. Special thanks to Alumni Outreach Committee Chairs Courtney Mayster '94 and Kelly Cameron Newton '00 for overseeing the debut of this program. 1 2 3 1 Math and science-loving alums Juan Hernandez '98, Mark Yoon '00, Diana Szczepanksi Rashkow '01 and Taylor Cope '01 at the second Life After Latin breakfast. 2 Our first Life After Latin panel, from the perspective of English and the arts related-fields with Ryan Jacobson '92, Michael Weber '94, Noah Isackson '92 and Ian Sohn '89. 3 History and social-science fans Courtney Mayster '94, Max Eisenberg '97, Kelly Davis Seeman '95 and Jenny Cizner '95 shared their career paths with upper school students at the third Life After Latin breakfast.
