125 Years. Our Stories. Our School.
Plans are well under way for Latin's 125th anniversary celebration that will take place during
the 2013-14 school year.
Our theme for the celebration is: "125 Years. Our Stories. Our School." which was the
result of talking with alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff about what this anniversary
means to them. Regardless of their role, the people we spoke to share a similar and strong sense
of belonging in the Latin School community. Whether it was a result of their memories, their
relationships with the people here or the lasting impact Latin has had on their lives, people
feel connected to Latin and to each other. We also know that over the past 125 years, we have
created a rich and vivid shared history filled with wonderful stories. This place and our stories
are something truly worth celebrating!
We hope to fill next year with unique and memorable experiences for Latin students – current
and former! Some of the events will be new, but we also plan to infuse many of our annual events
with special celebratory touches. Our goal with this celebration is to help people learn about the
history of the school, build school pride and spirit, and, most of all, help people feel even more
connected to Latin and to one another. We also hope to have a lot of fun!

form, over the phone or in a voicemail, in a selfmade video or in person! All versions are welcome.
We hope to share these personal recollections
throughout the anniversary year, as well as build an
archive for future generations of Latin students.
