of Art Works Projects. This organization creates awareness of social injustice through art and the current exhibit is "Congo Women." Alex has worked in a curatorial, editorial and event planning capacity. The project intends to continue with future exhibits regarding potable water and human trafficking. Katherine Aljinovic shares that, "I graduated from Northwestern University in June and am currently employed by the French government to teach English in French elementary schools. This has been an amazing cultural and learning experience for me, and I am so happy to be able to spend the next year here!" 2006 Nora Becerra, Danielle Carlson, Ryan Greenlee, Suzanne Foote, Mia Guajardo, Jessica Raic Marissa Muller submits news from her time at the University of Iowa where she was recently accepted into the undergraduate extension of the graduate writer's workshop. "I write nonfiction and had my first article published this December, in Crawdaddy, the first U.S. journal of Rock & Roll music. In addition, I conduct an electronic and hip-hop radio show on KRUI, Iowa City's premier alternative station. It is on every Sunday night from 10 p.m. to midnight. This summer I plan to intern at either Crawdaddy or Blender Magazine." Ameerah C. Phillips sends in updates from Amherst where "I'm currently a junior and spending my third year abroad in Amman, Jordan trying to learn Arabic. Amman is beautiful, though crowded and busy. My Arabic is progressing slowly but surely. I live in a home-stay with an Arab family and they are absolutely wonderful. Next year I head back to Amherst for my final year but who knows where the wind will take me after I graduate in May (hopefully abroad again)!" 1 2 2007 Robert Connelly, Charles Connery, Pierre Dowden, Anthony Hodes, Giovanna Marchese, Sara Nash, Will O'Shaughnessy, Margaret Wardrop Parone Mulrain recently was a part of the winning triple jump relay team for Ohio Wesleyan at a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) meet. His team ultimately took first place in the meet. Francesca Baer writes that, "after spending a summer in Oxford doing a similar drama program, I am now looking forward to spending the spring semester in London, studying at The British American Drama Academy. It will be seven weeks of acting classes and master classes with people such as Alan Rickman, Fiona Shaw and Jeremy Irons, followed by another five weeks in rehearsal for a show." 2008 Alex Chaviano, Veronica Clarkson, George French, Mitch Glasser, Abigail Hamilton, Ella McCann, Elaine Rojas-Castillo Cole Goldenberg is currently a freshman at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. "I am an Aviation Human Factors Major. I love flying, and it is one of the greatest things I've ever done. I will hopefully have my pilot's license by the end of this semester, and start working on my commercial ratings next year. I joined the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity, which was a great decision. We are like a large family. Latin really helped me prepare for college in terms of my study habits.
