Marketplace Championing the Latin of the Future Talk to students of former fifth grade teacher Nancy Elmer and their parents, and they repeat the same description: Dedicated. Loyal. Optimistic. Giving. Given these traits, it's not surprising that Elmer wanted to make a lasting contribution to Latin. What is remarkable, however, is that her bequest is the school's largest ever: $1.5 million for lower school financial aid. Elmer began teaching in 1963 and dedicated more than 30 years to her students until her retirement in 1995. Never married and with no children of her own, she found family and community at Latin. She took great pride in getting to know her students and instilling a sense of values in her classroom. Elmer's incredible passion for her students and for Latin will live on with her generous gift. We invite you to join her as a member of the 1888 Society. By including Latin in your future plans, you will make a lasting impact on Latin, and on our students and our school. Your legacy belongs here. 312.582.6040 giving@latinschool.org plannedgiving.latinschool.org
