Email alumni@ latinschool.org or phone 312.582.6040. 1973 Linda Jeanne Brown Adams, R.N. passed away August 27, 2018. After Stanford, she and her husband moved to Anchorage, AK, where she spent nearly 40 years and raised her three children. She moved to Portland, OR, to be closer to them after they left the nest. A dazzling force of life, she generously shared her passions for literature, travel and volunteering, unforgettably enriching family, friends and those who benefited from the volunteer work. 1974 Mary Haber Class rep Mary Haber writes: "Our 45th reunion was a big success and tons of fun. anks to everyone who came: Billy Hargrave '75; Keith Graham and his wife Beverly; Lesley Prizant Goodman; Debbie Burkland; Randy Randazzo and guest; Ricky Goldberg; Lawrence Hedblom and Lesa Ukman even made a last-minute appearance. Marco Renoldi sent his regards but was unable to attend. I think we look pretty good for being 45 years out from our Latin graduation. Best wishes and hoping to see everyone in five years if not sooner." Marco Renoldi writes: "We have not been in touch over the past 35+ years. Too large a time gap to fill with just a few notes! Not even sure you recall me: I was the foreign exchange student from Italy in 1973-1974 (senior year). I graduated from Milan University's Medical School back in the 80s and, following residency and specialty school, spent most of my professional career (34+ years) in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry (Novartis, Searle/Pharmacia, Amgen, Shionogi), with a variety of assignments at country, regional and global level. I started with medical roles and progressively switched over to business and general management roles. Since 2014, I have been with a clinical stage biotech company listed on the Oslo, Norway, stock exchange, Nordic Nanovector, where I serve as chief operating officer, commuting every other week between Oslo and Zurich. I am a resident of Switzerland, yet I still spend a considerable amount of time in Milan, where part of my family lives, and in the U.S., as we are heavily engaged in the commercialization planning for our lead asset, an antibody-drug conjugate for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I still have fond memories of my time at Latin!" On November 14, several members of the class gathered in NYC for Michael Weinstein's Rock and Roll Portrait Photography Exhibit opening. Mark Sage, Rick Goldberg and Michael dined together before the opening, while John Needham and Tim Joyce met up with everyone at the gallery (L-R: John Needham, Rick Goldberg, Mark Sage and Tim Joyce). On November 21, Mary Fleming held a reading and book signing at City Lit books in Chicago for her latest novel, e Art of Regret. Several classmates were in attendance! See more in Marketplace on page 43. Marguerite Horberg pens: "Always fun to read the notes. I keep up with many Latin alumni from my class on Facebook and regularly see updates from Richard Archer, Marilyn Newberger Speakman, Cheryl Steiger, Ali Pohn and Leslie Prizant Goodman '74. I also see fairly regularly Albert Berger (and my brother Bill '76), who are both in the movie biz. I am sorry to report the passing of Laurie Leigh (mother of Nancy Leigh, Stuart '76 and John '80 and wife of Carl Leigh '48) in October after a long illness. Many of us found a welcoming home at the Leighs, on Astor with Laurie's hospitality. My business, HotHouse, continues to thrive, and I 2 3 ROMAN CONNECTIONS 36
