Betty Roseman Kasson says hello: "I am active with my local Episcopal church, having served as Senior Warden twice recently. I also sing in the choir and play guitar for preschool chapel once a week. e hazard of having been in college in the 60s; we all play guitar—not well, but I play. I love to walk my dogs, Bella and Wilma, every morning in the beautiful Carmel Valley. Nothing to hear but birdsong, nothing to see but deer, wildflowers and oak trees. Sometimes I go riding with my neighbor on one of her 11 horses. Pastoral and sublime. In my other time I coordinate a small nonprofit that delivers food, clothing and household items to needy farm worker families in the Salinas Valley. Our 50 volunteers feed about 2,000 people a week, 75 percent of them children (nancysproject.org). I also have a big organic garden, and I love to cook many different styles and nationalities of food. Jim and I usually sit down before dinner with a glass of wine and do e New York Times crossword on the big TV screen. I traveled to New York to see my older son and his family in Brooklyn. My youngest grandchild (of four) turned 5. Life is full, life is good. We are very blessed. Michael Krause writes: "About six months ago, I completed a two-year Master of Science in Higher Education Degree (MSEd) that caused me to go back to the days of studying, writing papers, researching and staying tied to my computer—truly an experience 50 years since receiving my bachelor's degree. However, the end goal was to teach at the college level and to share my 40-year career in the hotel/hospitality/tourism industry with the future industry leaders. I now teach three to five days per week as a professional adjunct lecturer (associate professor) for the Kendall School of Hospitality Management & Culinary Arts at National Louis University. I have found late in life this passion for teaching and learning to be tremendously rewarding. Working with my Millennial, GenX and GenZ-ers is now my everyday pleasure. Further, Latin School of Chicago has now graduated my two youngest children. One has since graduated college with a degree in communications and digital marketing, and the other is in his sophomore year at Miami of Ohio University studying political science. is will probably be it for the Latin experience for me unless, like you, there are grandchildren one day whom I may or may not live to meet. Was planning on seeing you at last year's reunion, but it coincided with our son's parents' weekend, which took precedence. omas Bowe reports: "I have spent the last four and a half months building a PT Eleven Nesting Dinghy for my somewhat larger motorboat. e time spent took away from my time on the tennis court, and my handicap has suffered as a result. Last spring, the National Tennis Club at the International Tennis Hall of Fame hosted the amateur age group world championships. I competed in the over-70 singles and doubles competitions. Afterwards we journeyed down to Tuxedo Park to play the UK and Australia for the over-70 World Team Championship, known as the Danby Cup. I'll have a few weeks to shake off the cobwebs and get my game back together; then it will be the boating season, and my focus will return to the water. I will try to attach a photo of the dinghy. If your travels take you East, please think about a stop in Newport. I usually have a spare bedroom as well." 1964 Bonnie Tansill Holmes Jill Goldberg Medlinsky Sally Nye Parris We celebrated our 55th reunion in October! anks to everyone who was able to join us.
