Alumni Week and National
Latin Day
Alumni Week was filled with fun activities galore: alumni
classroom visitors shared stories and yearbook photos, third
graders wrote pen pal letters to our 50th and 55th reunion
classes, middle schoolers competed in a trivia contest against
an alumni team (ask students how far ahead they are in the
nine-year-old series), and upper schoolers searched for photos
of alumni hidden around the school and learned how each has
stayed active as an alum.
Alumni from around the world got in on the action with daily
online Latin trivia, and on April 17's National Latin Day,
celebrated by wearing the orange and blue, writing to or about
a favorite teacher and getting together with fellow Romans.
Latin Professionals Evening
On May 16, more than 100 Latin community members attended
the seventh annual networking evening hosted by the Alumni
Association. is year's event featured Morgan Flatley, chief
marketing officer of McDonald's US, in conversation with alumna
and NBC5 reporter LeeAnn Trotter. Special thanks to event chairs
Monica Monroe '77 and Joe Anayas '04, and our additional
industry hub hosts Robert Sobel '84, Matt Gray '89, Kelly
Davis Seeman '95 and Ashley Quinto Powell '01.
