1988 Leslie Hillman Ballen Leslie Brownstein Garber Lesly Adolph Koo Dave Diaz is enjoying his new role back in the Pentagon. As the Deputy Chief of Strategy and Policy against Transregional reats, Dave serves the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to coordinate long-term global approaches to counter violent extremist organizations like ISIS and al Qaeda. "It's exciting to bring to the Joint Staff some of the lessons I learned at the Department of State and as a Marine officer." In December, Steve Galpern became a member of the editorial board of the journal Studies in Intelligence. Julian Harvey Mills passed away in October. A creative musician with a sly sense of humor, Julian was founding member of the bands "Drunk Tank" and "Dirty Old Man River," toured in the U.S. and played for John Peel on BBC Radio 1. We extend our condolences to; his mother, Helen Harvey Mills '54, siblings Natalie Bontumasi '82 and Brett Mills '86; and all of his family and friends. 1989 It's hard to believe that we graduated 30 years ago! We want to celebrate this momentous occasion by having the best reunion ever, which includes your attendance! Book a flight, a hotel, a babysitter or maybe all three, so that you can join us for the weekend of October 4. We can't wait to reminisce together about our years at Latin. We would love to see everyone there, no matter how far away you live or how much time you spent with us at Latin. – Courtney, Greg, Karen, Lauren and Tiffany Kelli Randall has been appointed to the role of vice president of academic affairs at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. 1996 Lisa Lieberman Kaplan Tiffany Madigan June Eding lives and works in New York City and is looking forward to celebrating her second wedding anniversary this fall. She is the author of numerous books including several titles for children published by Klutz/Scholastic, Penguin Random House and Chronicle Books, among others, and works as a freelance copywriter for several small businesses and brands. Her book for young readers, Who Was Queen Elizabeth? just topped 200,000 copies sold in the internationally best-selling Who Was...? series (also the basis for a Netflix series). Samantha ompson and her husband, Anastasios Tomazos (Tommy), have returned to the Chicago area after several years in London and are currently living in Winnetka with their 3-year-old daughter, Persephone.
