As the Deputy Chief of Strategy and Policy against Transregional reats, Dave serves the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to coordinate long-term global approaches to counter violent extremist organizations like ISIS and al Qaeda. "It's exciting to bring to the Joint Staff some of the lessons I learned at the Department of State and as a Marine officer." A creative musician with a sly sense of humor, Julian was founding member of the bands "Drunk Tank" and "Dirty Old Man River," toured in the U.S. and played for John Peel on BBC Radio 1.
