You also can send notes to the Alumni Office at alumni@latinschool.org. 1944 Grace Dodge Kirk Camille McDonald Weiss Thanks to Grace Dodge Kirk, Camille McDonald Weiss and Howard "Howdy" Carroll for serving as grand marshals representing the girls' and boys' schools in Latin's 125th anniversary parade! 125th Anniversary Parade Grand Marshals Grace Dodge Kirk, Camille McDonald Weiss and Howard Carroll, all members of the Class of '44. Miles Berger '48, 125th anniversary parade grand marshal. 1948 Gerald Grant Thanks to Miles Berger for serving as a grand marshal representing the Latin School of Chicago for Boys in the 125th anniversary parade! 1949 Peter Barrett Elizabeth Rupprecht Larry Warnock reports that after some years, We are sorry to report that Louis Sappanos, Captain U.S. Navy (Retired), passed away on June 11, 2013. Captain Sappanos served in the Navy for 28 years and worked for Control Data Corporation in Minneapolis for another 13 years before moving to Florida and serving as an active volunteer at Tyndall Air Force Base and for Meals on Wheels. We extend our condolences to his family, friends and classmates. Louis Sappanos '44. 132 L AT I N M AGAZINE he and his wife, Janet, have finally retired to their new home in Naples, FL. After selling his advertising and public relations enterprises in Dallas and the Cayman Islands, the two are now leading happy and healthful lives doing what they do best – sailing, traveling and living near the sea. They have three grown children and six grandchildren, all frequent visitors to the new Larry Warnock '49 and his wife, Janet. Southwest Florida environment.
