ALUMNI EVENTS Alumni Trustee Anne Gardner Rockey ���92 with outgoing Alumni Association President Lara Shipp Shiffman ���85 at the Alumni Association Leadership Luncheon. Chicago-Area Alumni Events & Visitors The Allen family enjoyed the Cubs game: Ryan ���95, daughter Niara and Andrea ���99. The summer proved busy for Chicago-area Latin alumni. First, we added 107 graduates to our alumni community as the Class of 2012 graduated on June 7. Alumni Association President Cam McKinney ���93 welcomed our newest members during the Alumni Association-sponsored Class of 2012 Senior Luncheon. Thanks to the class, we have a new participation record for a senior class gift: More than 75 percent made five-year pledges to support scholarships through the Annual Fund. They dedicated their gift in honor of Head of School Randall Dunn. The annual Alumni Leadership Luncheon gives us a chance to honor and thank our Alumni Association Board of Directors, alumni trustees, reunion planners, class reps, classroom volunteers and speakers and more. This year, we thanked outgoing Alumni Board President Lara Shipp Shiffman ���85 for three great years of outstanding leadership and welcomed incoming President Cam McKinney ���93. Latin alums taking in a Cubs game last summer. What is summer without a little friendly rivalry? Latin and Parker alums came together to enjoy an afternoon of Cubs baseball from a very comfortable rooftop vantage point. On the other side of town, a group of dedicated basketball players took on teams from Parker, UHigh and Morgan Park Academy again this summer in a high-spirited and well-played tournament. We���ll get ���em next year! We also welcomed a number of visitors over the summer and fall, including Chris Wood, grandson of former Head of School James Wood (faculty 1928-1951, headmaster 19321951), son of George Wood ���47 and nephew of James O. Wood Jr. ���43.
