ANNE HOBBS and Alumni Relations. Years at Latin: 20 WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO LATIN? The school���s reputation. My first job at Latin was serving as director of Annual Giving. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT THE SCHOOL? The incredible opportunities that are available for the students at all grade levels and the way that both students and adults celebrate one another���s talents. WHAT KEEPS YOU COMMITTED TO THE SCHOOL? The positive impact I am able to have by working with generous volunteers and donors. I continue to be impressed by the faculty and students and their passion for discovery and learning. I also really enjoy working with Latin���s alumni and look forward to celebrating the school���s 125th anniversary in a few years. WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU ADMIRE MOST IN OTHERS? Intelligence, honesty, kindness, and Fidelitas (Latin for ���trust��� or ���loyalty��� and part of the Latin School crest). WHO IS THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? My family: my parents, my brothers, my husband and my children. WHAT ARE THE BEST PARTS OF YOUR JOB? Talking with people about how terrific Latin is ��� and the meaningful ways that they can help to support the work of students and faculty. WHAT MAKES YOUR JOB CHALLENGING? Time. There isn���t enough of it. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK? I don���t have a favorite, but lately have been enjoying all of the terrific new young adult literature that I have been reading for my motherdaughter and mother-son book clubs. We just finished Martin Zusak���s The Book Thief. It was outstanding. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE? ���If you come to a fork in the road, take it.��� ��� Yogi Berra WHAT IS LATIN���S BEST KEPT SECRET?
