Upper School Project Week up front In March, upper school students embarked on an amazing array of local, national and international study opportunities for Project Week 2011. Since 1972, Project Week has been a unique Latin offering focused on providing students with access to educational experiences that our normal program cannot easily provide. The experiences are designed to offer opportunities that may require physical endurance, promote cultural awareness, provide artistic or creative opportunities, encourage career preparation through internships or offer in-depth academic investigation. 1 The 2011 opportunities included: 1) Food Science; 2) London to Wales: From the City to the Farm; 3) Iceland: Land of Fire and Ice; 4) The Food System; 5) Arts Alive! West Coast; 6) Chefs of Chicago; 7) Habitat For Humanity; 8) Build-A-Lab; 9) Port Elizabeth, South Africa: Teaching Visual Art and Creative Writing to Children; 10) Costa Rican Adventure; 11) Exploring Biodiversity: The Encyclopedia of Life; 12) Peru - Trekking the Andes 4 2 5 3 14 Latin Magazine
