Opportunity Knocks: Scholarship Dinner 2012
UP FRONT
This February, our biennial Scholarship Dinner
event was a wonderful example of the best of
Latin – students, community, fun and, most of
all, making a difference in people's lives. More
than 800 parents, alumni, faculty, staff and
friends attended the cocktail party at the school
and dinners in individual homes, helping to
raise over $1.1 million in financial aid dollars.
This special evening once again reaffirmed
our commitment to ensuring that Latin is a
diverse and welcoming school. Highlights of
the evening included class of 1983 alumnus
and current parent Richard Kim's story about
being a scholarship recipient at the school,
the extremely successful paddle raise, and a
fantastic variety of dinners.
The evening would not have been possible
without the dedication of our event chairs
Diana Aixalá & Gavin Campbell and Meredith
Bluhm-Wolf & Bill Wolf, the gracious hosts
who opened their homes to our community,
and the many volunteers who worked tirelessly
to make Scholarship Dinner 2012 a success.
