Class Notes 1970 Susan Grove Class representative Susan writes: "I just had anksgiving dinner with Michael and Jody Kallis Nash at their wonderful home, which is the oldest standing house that survived Mrs. O'Leary's cow's missteps. Jody is quite the entertainer, and I was one of 45 guests for the Turkey Day fête. e star of the evening was Jody's 9 ½ month old granddaughter, Delaney, daughter of Sara '07. "Bob (Bobby) Tansill had a career in marketing, sales and technical recruiting in Silicon Valley, then retired and moved to Texas in 2002. He now lives in Granbury, just southwest of Fort Worth. " Margaret Shorey Elliott has moved into fabulous new digs in Chicago. Along with Geo Goldberg '73, Margaret designed a truly spectacular space worth a spread in Architectural Digest! Margaret is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second grandchild, a girl, in early April. Grandson Benjamin, 4 ½ , is already skiing on the slopes in Vail and remains the apple of Margaret's eye. "Debra Cohen-Sall, artist extraordinaire, retired her children's furniture, accessories and book company recently, and she and her husband are enjoying their freedom to do other things. eir daughter is a registered dietician living in NYC, and son is busy moving into and renovating their Long Pond company shop. Deb is illustrating a children's book and has recently adopted another kitten to add to her family of two tabbies and a pug. "Speaking of animals, Carol Carpenter has a veritable bevy of them in her home in Naperville. Last year she went to Bali, Indonesia, and spent nine days scuba diving o a boat that sailed to Komodo, where Carol spent time with the dragons. Carol continues to work in nancial planning and has been very active fostering dogs and nding them new homes. " Tom 'Tad' Hall reports that he is married and living in Long Beach, CA. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1983. He lived in Japan for ve years, and speaks and reads Japanese. He collects photos of Chicago and is an expert on the dealership network of Cadillac Division of General Motors since 1903. He is also a lifetime member of the Cadillac and La Salle Club. "If you are in the D.C. area, I'd love to see you. Fall of 2019 is our 45th reunion. How can that possibly be?" Tracey in fact visited with Robin Tieken Hadley. We regret the error. Edgar ornton III writes: "Greetings from Afghanistan. Hope all is well. Debbie and I just celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary with a cruise of Eastern Canada. Now Debbie is returning to Washington from Kabul to assume a new Consular Foreign Service position with the State Department. Edgar will head to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan for a one-year Foreign Service position with USAID. Our son is nishing his senior year at Harvard and working at Spotify Inc. in San Francisco for his summer internship. We will be in D.C. this fall if anyone wants to connect (ethorntonku85@aol.com)." Tracey Greenwood is now living in Brandon, FL, since husband Paul is the dean at the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Tampa. She writes: " Merry Norton Sharp and I were in contact during Hurricane Irma, and I am glad to announce we both survived the worst hurricane to hit Tampa in 100 years.
