On February 22, the Alumni Association hosted
the fifth annual networking evening at Groupon
Headquarters, attended by nearly 100 alumni,
parents and guests. Parent Mark Hoplamazian,
President and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation,
and Brian Spaly, former CEO of Trunk Club,
spoke about c-suite leadership styles, managing
acquisitions from both sides of the table, and
challenges in preserving the cultures of acquired
companies. Trustee Rendel Solomon '96, principal
of Muller & Muller Asset Management and founder
of One Stock, One Future, kept the conversation
rolling as moderator. Following the program,
attendees networked within and between industry
hubs, each staffed by alumni resident experts.
