TRACK
Run, jump, hurdle, throw and now
vault too. e 2017 track teams were
well-rounded in all 18 events. e girls
team placed first in the ISL for the first
time in five years. e boys had their
highest-ever finish at Sectionals coming
in second of 18 teams. Pekky Nzegbuna '19
broke the school record in the 110
hurdles and Richard Mbouombouo '17
set new school records in the shot put
and the discus.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
e volleyball team had a fantastic
season, with an overall record of
17-10. Some highlights include
finishing second in the Rockford
Tournament and making it to
the Regional Final, beating
Whitney Young in a thrilling
Semifinal game.
BOYS WATER POLO
e boys season was a season filled
with teamwork, fun and success,
resulting in more than doubling
the wins from the 2016 season.
e team won the Waubonsie
Valley Tournament and placed
second in the York Tournament.
GIRLS WATER POLO
e girls water polo team faced many
competitive teams this season and did
an amazing job, rising to each and every
challenge. e team finished the season
with a 5-14 record.
