Class Notes 2003 Julia Corrin Kris Ekdahl Alice Mathias Emily Daviau Smith Kris Ekdahl and his wife, Jennie, welcomed son Anderson "Anders" James Ekdahl, born August 13, 2016, at 8 pounds, 3 ounces. 2004 Emma Baumgartner Sean Hoffman Adoley Jordan Robert Kurtzman Sharon Madanes Andrew Peterson Kelly Rosen and Christophe Lagrange have been best friends for 16 years since their freshman year at Latin. In early 2015 they began a romantic relationship, followed by a one-year engagement. ey were married in a symbolic ceremony on August 26 in the gardens of Villa d' Este in Lake Como, Italy by close family friend Mary Ellen Caron. Other wedding celebrations took place over the weekend at Villa del Balbianello and Villa Erba. Seventeen Latin alumni attended the celebrations including: Carleigh Connelly, Amarit Dulyapaibul, Trish Engelman, Adam Fields '03, Jordan Gillman '03, Todd Glickman, Anthony Hodes '07, Chloe Himmel, Noah Himmel '97, Yosef Johnson '03, Alexander Karlan '03, Marisa Levin, Giovanna Marchese '07, Karen Riley McEniry '88, Peyton Pritikin '11, Michael Rudoy '03 and Cierra Sherwin. 2006 Nora Becerra Danielle Carlson Suzanne Foote Ryan Greenlee Mia Guajardo Jessica Raic Our 10th reunion was one to remember – we celebrated a record turnout! anks for the laughter, memories and fun! Alice Baumgartner was one of five doctoral students honored with a Prize Teaching Fellowship at Yale. e fellowship recognizes fellows for outstanding performance and promise as a teacher. Recipients are nominated by their students and faculty members they assist, and are awarded a $3,000 stipend for the following academic year. Alice is a Ph.D. candidate in history whose research focuses on the U.S./Mexico borderlands. Her dissertation follows the thousands of American slaves who escaped to Mexico during the 19th century in order to understand Mexico's development as an anti-slavery republic and its significance to the United States. Her Louis Pelzer Award-winning article, "e Line of Positive Safety: Borders and Boundaries in the Rio Grande Valley, 1848-1880," was published in the March 2015 issue of the Journal of American History.
