Alumni Association Words from the Alumni Association President Fellow Romans, With the 2015-16 school year underway, we as alumni find ourselves with more opportunities than ever to play a critical role in the present and future of Latin School. Latin alumni have unprecedented opportunities to connect and re-connect, thanks to a wealth of events and programs. Also, we find ourselves at the beginning of a fundraising campaign unrivalled by any in the school's history in its purpose and ambition. Our support for this campaign is critical to the future of the school. In a nod to the aphorism "Price is what you pay; value is what you get," I'd like to share a few things about price and value as they relate to the alumni community's relationship with Latin. Alumni support of the Annual Fund, Auction and Scholarship Dinner has been increasing steadily over the past years. On behalf of the school and the students who benefit: thank you. We Romans recognize that tuition alone does not cover the full price of a world-class educational program. We know that our reliable support – helping to pay the price, if you will – is a crucial component of the school's ability to fulfill its mission, today and in years to come. As the Endowment Campaign takes center stage this year, Latin's students, faculty and staff will count on your continued generosity. e value of belonging to our alumni community also continues to grow. Opportunities to interact – from our well-attended professional evenings to our industry- and region-specific networking events – have never been more numerous. If you haven't yet had the chance to hear our luminary speakers or engage in thought-provoking discussions with fellow alumni, I hope you'll join us this year. Your presence is valued in the utmost, and I look forward to seeing you soon. In closing, I invite you to start this opportunity-filled year by reflecting on our shared fondness for the school's history and optimism about its future. As the newly elected president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, I welcome you to contact me directly regarding any questions or concerns. Finally, I'd like to thank you once again for all that you do for Latin. I hope you feel, as I do, that the value far exceeds the price. Go you Romans!
