As a school community, we are committed to making a Latin education possible for families from socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Latin School is proud to be able to award more than $3.6 million in need-based aid annually. e Financial Aid Office strives to assist families for whom the cost of independent school tuition is the only barrier to attendance. Using the NAIS Principles of Good Practice for Financial Aid Administration and our own school policies and procedures, Latin reviews each family's situation carefully with the intention of providing an appropriate level of support. Latin has a need-sensitive financial aid policy. is means that all admitted students demonstrating need will be funded, but the number of students needing financial aid who can be admitted is restricted based on our budget. e amount of financial aid awarded is based on the cost of attendance in relation to what a family can reasonably contribute based on their financial circumstances. We work with families to understand their individual circumstances and determine a financial aid package that addresses each family's needs as best as possible. Latin follows a cost-of-attendance model for awarding financial aid, which ensures that additional costs associated with attending Latin beyond tuition are taken into account.
