roman connections 48 Arts 1. antonie Becker '61 Antonie recently exhibited new watercolors from her NYC Sketchbook Diary in the Berlitz Art Gallery in Rockefeller Center. www.antoniebecker.com 2. caSSidy FreeMan '00 Cassidy is co-producing a feature film called Cortez, set in New Mexico. The team has raised just over $50,000 and has created an Indiegogo page to close the financial gap with crowdfunding. Erik's other group, Wild Belle, will release its sophomore album this year on Columbia Records. Her topographical sculptures of crushed rock and resin gained much attention this fall at the Foire International d'Art Contemporain (Off)icielle show in Paris and also were featured in the New York Times. The film's international premiere at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival in the UK garnered two juried awards (Best Film – Silver, Best Running Film – Gold) and the Audience Award for Best Film. www.barkleymovie.com 6. John Maxwell '73 John recently released his first solo CD of acoustic blues. "Blues for Evangeline" includes five originals and arrangements of classic blues by Blind Willie McTell, Sonny Boy Williamson and Mississippi John Hurt.
