Join us in thanking our members for their work this year. We also thank Cam McKinney '93 for his outstanding leadership as president over the past three years. From the strong base laid by our past presidents, Cam has guided the Association through a period of terrific growth and great celebration of our history and future. The following people are finishing their terms this spring: Sarah Cogswell '99, Bill Conway '96, Danielle Drabkin '95, Carrie McNally '87, Rendel Solomon '96, Errett Van Nice '88, David Valentine '88 and Beth Goldberg Heller '93, who will be leaving the Alumni Association Board to serve as an alumni trustee on the Board of Trustees. Our alumni community now stands at or above record numbers in a variety of categories, most notably participation and giving. We are more connected to one another, and more informed on events and enhancements at Latin. Words cannot adequately express my sincere appreciation for all those who made my experience so enjoyable and educational. As alumni we each have to find the right time and best ways to continue our support for Latin School. ese efforts take many forms and occur with varying degrees of frequency. Regardless of timing and method, however, we should above all else remain connected. It's a lot easier today than it was 20 years ago when my class left campus: Emails, websites and social media now augment the once per year reunion opportunity and occasional phonathon connection. Our annual Alumni Association programs (Life after Latin, Latin Professionals Evening etc.) now provide additional outlets, resources and opportunities to engage. ese programs offer something to each of us, whether it's an opportunity to give advice/ guidance to young professionals or current students, the opportunity to receive guidance/advice from professionals, friends and colleagues, or the opportunity to create and build on our Latin friendships. As we reach the summer months and recalibrate commitments of time and resources for next fall, I encourage each of you to think about how Latin fits in to your priorities. My parting, largest and most important thank you of all goes to the Alumni Office, led by Stephanie Chu. Without your stewardship, productivity, creativity and contagiously (and deeply appreciated) positive attitudes, the Latin alumni community would not be as strong as it stands today. Stephanie, Teresa, and Stephanie S.: From all of us, thank you. Go Romans! Cam McKinney President of the Alumni Association 47 latin magazine » spring 2015
