Gavin writes: "I am a current sophomore in the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. In addition to my bachelor's in hotel administration, I am pursuing a minor in real estate and a concentration in entrepreneurship. Ever since I completed a senior project at Latin in which I designed the business plan for a food cart, I have been obsessed with entrepreneurship and the start-up world. UPSTATE is my first official company, and I couldn't be more excited to launch. e entire concept for the company stems from a lack of fun men's clothing. Our first product is a pair of men's shorts that are designed to be flipped at the hem to reveal cool patterns." Learn more in Marketplace. Faculty & Faculty Alumni Judy Kritzberg Upper school faculty member Sarah BunGer won e Moth GrandSLAM Chicago 2014 in December. As a result, Sarah will be traveling to New York to tell a condensed version of her winning story at the Moth Ball on Tuesday, May 12. e Moth invited 11 of the 22 GrandSLAM winners including Sarah, who is thrilled to take the stage with Louis C.K. and other featured storytellers. Former faculty member BarBara (BoBBi) Florio GrahaM has been invited to join e Executive Authors group, selected experts in all aspects of book publishing, aimed primarily at business owners who want to leverage their impact with a book sharing their expertise. Faculty alumnus kenneth SMith writes: "My latest publication, in the new Gifted Child Today, references Latin in my bio, and the Shakespeare unit discussed in the article began when I taught eighth grade at Latin. I am less than two years from retirement. Hard to believe I was once the youngest teacher at Latin."
