from Cam McKinney '93 Alumni Association President 36 L AT I N M A G A Z I N E Greetings, e support from alumni last year was nothing short of remarkable. Record-setting on many levels, the overall engagement with Latin from our alumni community was inspiring. Whether it was through financial support, 125th anniversary participation, volunteering as a speaker or meeting with a Latin teacher at a regional event, you have made a significant impact on faculty and student life at Latin. ank you. is year is shaping up to be one of our strongest yet, as interest and support continue to grow within the alumni base. It is wonderful to see and hear of so many classes represented at events in Chicago and around the country, through annual giving and on our Alumni Association Board of Directors. I encourage each of you to help as we continue to pull together the decades of Latin alumni: Stay in touch with Latin friends and classmates, lend a hand to a younger alum or student, and take the time to learn about the good things happening at Latin today. It has been my true privilege to serve as president of our Alumni Association Board of Directors for the past three years. Over the last 30-plus years, I have been fortunate to experience Latin through the lens of a student, parent and now alumni volunteer. Each of these experiences is unique, but the continuum of Latin excellence and tradition was clear and present at each of these stages. Supporting Latin and current students today is supporting the future of our alumni community, as well as the future of Latin as a school. I look forward to seeing many of you participating in our spring events, especially Latin Professionals Evening and National Latin Day. Best regards, Cam McKinney A L U M N I "Supporting Latin and current students today is supporting the future of our alumni community, as well as the future of Latin as a school." 0 500 250 1,000 750 1,062 alumni helped raise 1.72 million annual fund dollars last year. Whether it's providing help in the classroom, the art room or on the track, Latin has truly been there for me. So, I have to be there for my school. I have to give so another kid can have the same opportunities." – Edward '12 1,250
