WHAT DO YOU MOST ENJOY ABOUT TEACHING AT LATIN? I really enjoy the strong sense of community and the feeling of connectedness I have with others. I can't count the number of genuine conversations I've had with colleagues and students in which I've been left in awe at the depth of character and passion possessed by so many people at this school. WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB? The level of energy that 80 middle school students bring through the gym doors is absolutely invigorating. No matter how tired or stressed I've felt before a class, the kinetic elixir they stir up always propels me into a highly positive state. WHY ARE YOU IN EDUCATION? I feel rewarded every time I see a student accomplish a perceived impossibility; to me, there's no better feeling than that of witnessing students reach milestones and knowing that I may have helped shepherd the process. WHAT ARE YOUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES? I've learned the most about myself by keeping an open mind to the perspective of others. WHAT ARE THE TRAITS YOU ADMIRE MOST IN OTHERS? I'm drawn to people who exhibit modesty, compassion, and humility. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND INTERESTS? I'm an outdoor enthusiast. I love to travel, take back roads, and get lost in the wilderness, always with a camera in tow. WHAT WAS THE LAST GOOD BOOK YOU READ?
