The conversation about
diversity at Latin School has been
ongoing, evolving and deepening
in the decades since a handful of
students broke the color barrier
in the late 1950s and early
1960s. With the adoption

education possible for students
from a variety of backgrounds?
More recently, the focus has
broadened to considering how
to best serve students of different
races, ethnicities and socioeconomic
backgrounds and those identifying
as a gender or sexual minority,
once they arrive at Latin: What
