Over the last 125 years, Latin School of Chicago has changed
and grown in many ways. Since the very beginning, however,
our outstanding faculty and staff have shared a common and
unwavering commitment to our students. Some devoted their entire
careers to the school – including Richard Dolezal and Dorothy
Hammet who both spent more than 50 years at Latin. Many
have been here for 25 years or more and have had an impact on
generations of Latin students. In addition to teaching, coaching and
supporting our students in every way, they serve as role models and
transform children's lives. They are the heart of our school.
On the following pages, we highlight our current faculty and staff
who have been at the school for 25 years or more, and our Hall of
Fame – faculty and staff who retired from the school with 25 years
or more of service.
