Background: A tax bill from 1930.
A fundraising letter to parents.
was of great assistance due to frequent
meetings pertaining to policies to be followed
and the great amount of detail necessary
to the completion of the Bond Holders
Agreement … In closing I wish to thank the
members of our present board of trustees
for their assistance in raising an Anniversary
Fund at this time. This is very essential to
the progress of the school and means that
more people will take a financial interest as
time goes on."

Despite the difficult years, the
City of Chicago celebrated its 100th
anniversary in 1933-34 with the Century
of Progress International Exposition. Latin
commemorated its 50th anniversary with
a much more modest celebration in 1938,
using the milestone to launch its 50th
Anniversary Campaign to raise funds for
facilities, equipment and debt repayment.
