CLASS NOTES Christian Knapp '90, Conductor. Christian Knapp was recently awarded a three-year contract as conductor for the renowned Mariinsky Opera in St. Petersburg, Russia, by invitation of the theater's music director, Valery Gergiev. Christian would like to express eternal gratitude to Thomas Stone and Michael Teolis for giving him early opportunities to try his hand at conducting while he attended Latin. These early experiences proved vital in shaping his future. Between mentoring two aspiring high school student designers for this year's High Line Fashion Show, teaching a class for Stitched Fashion Camp, promoting her new Boy Meets Girl University line, planning and showing at New York Fashion Week in September, keeping up with her blog Behind the Seams and posting on others, it's rare to catch her stationary. In July, Stacy was featured on a billboard in Times Square with Harmon Kardon, winner from the Boy Meets Girl Style 360 New York Fashion Week Show.
