CLASS NOTES Faculty & Faculty Alumni John Austin reports that New York's Center for Contemporary Opera has committed to staging his lyric drama Heloise and Abelard, which received its first performance in concert form in Harvard's Memorial Church in January 2012 under Edward Elwyn Jones's direction. In addition, there is a possibility of export to Avignon and Hungary, where CCO has recently performed. Read more in the Marketplace section. Carrie Jones Beredo and her husband, Andrew, welcomed son Luke Santos Beredo on August 21, 2013. We are sorry to report that Winifred EastonJones passed away in late April. Winnie last visited Latin during Reunion Weekend of 2008 and often said that was one of her cherished memories. We extend our condolences to her former students, friends and family. Thanks to Francis "Bud" Lovett for joining us on Reunion Weekend for Latin's 125th anniversary alumni celebrations and serving as a grand marshal representing faculty alumni in the parade. Upper school science teacher Faye Wells and her husband, Aaron, welcomed daughter Emery June Se Young Wells on June 7, 2013 at 10:45 a.m. Emery weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.
