BE A PART OF LATIN'S
STORY THIS YEAR.
Last year, more than 1,000 alumni made a
difference in the lives of our teachers and students.
Peggy Gelman reports: "The 40th reunion of
Latin School Class of 1973 almost didn't
happen. All summer long, Blue Stater Robert
Drell and Red Staters Peter Ordower and
Peggy Gelman could find no common ground
as to where to go or what to do, and not
everyone could make it to the Roman Reunion
on Saturday of reunion weekend. Independent
Green Stater Michael Pink wisely found a
wedding to attend instead, and wished us a lot
of luck. Total shutdown seemed imminent.
There was great despair across the land. And
then, at the 11th hour, April Levka Swenson,
Laurene Hynson and Linda Tucker proposed
a compromise: Sunday brunch at the East Bank
Club! Classmates boarded planes on the east and
west coasts bound for action. One classmate
even postponed major surgery to attend! In the
end, a FAB TIME was had by all. P.S. Can our
50th top this story? Stay tuned!"
April Levka Swenson added: "It was lots of
fun catching up on what everyone has been up
to, and we are thinking about a Thanksgiving
weekend event for those who come into town at
that time to visit family. By my count, we had
20 attendees at brunch...not bad for a graduating
class of 53 members. Already thinking about
what to do for our 50th!"
