Larry Warnock reports that after some years,
We are sorry to report that Louis Sappanos,
Captain U.S. Navy (Retired), passed away on
June 11, 2013. Captain Sappanos served in the
Navy for 28 years and worked for Control Data
Corporation in Minneapolis for another 13 years
before moving to Florida and serving as an active
volunteer at Tyndall Air Force Base and for
Meals on Wheels. We extend our condolences to
his family, friends and classmates.

he and his wife, Janet, have finally retired to
their new home in Naples, FL. After selling
his advertising and public relations enterprises
in Dallas and the Cayman
Islands, the two are now
leading happy and healthful
lives doing what they do
best – sailing, traveling and
living near the sea. They
have three grown children
and six grandchildren, all
frequent visitors to the new
