A.Curriculum and Pedagogy Strengthen the JK-12 program by emphasizing innovative teaching methods, including project-based learning, the application of course material to real-world problem solving and action, and the role of student voice in shaping curriculum. Create a Computer Science curriculum. Enhance and refine the curriculum to offer students a greater global perspective. Affirm that every student in our community will receive sufficient support and opportunity to thrive in our challenging curriculum. B. Student Transitions Ensure that at every transition within and beyond our school, Latin fully supports students' pursuit of their learning goals. Further our commitment to create lifelong learners by advocating for our students to enter institutions of higher learning that best meet their interests and desire for challenge. C.Student Assessment Develop new methods and tools including digital student portfolios to evaluate, showcase, and communicate student growth and performance more effectively. Emphasize analysis, synthesis, decision-making, and collaborative skills in assessments. D.Outstanding Faculty Ensure teaching excellence through a cohesive professional development and evaluation strategy that supports use of the most effective methods of instruction and engaging course content. Sharpen practices to attract, hire, and retain an exceptional faculty, with a focus on faculty from underrepresented backgrounds. E.Co-Curricular Activities and Athletics Promote excellence in all of Latin's co-curricular activities and athletics, and use those activities to reinforce core values and help students develop selfconfidence, perseverance, teamwork, and leadership skills.
