Hallmarks of the Lower School Signature Learning Opportunities Throughout the Lower School, students engage in experiences that build on their classroom learning while encouraging curiosity, creativity and discovery. Together, these signature opportunities help students become more confident, develop new skills and prepare for each new stage of their Latin journey. Beyond the Classroom Students have opportunities outside the classroom to discover new interests, build friendships and grow through new experiences. Through athletics, the arts, leadership opportunities and a wide range of student activities, they are encouraged to explore, participate and become active members of the school community. Teachers get to know every child personally and work closely with a collaborative team of counselors, learning specialists, reading and math specialists, enrichment teachers and the school nurse to ensure students are challenged, encouraged and supported academically, socially and emotionally. Families are valued partners throughout the Lower School journey, creating an environment where every child can thrive. Low student-to-teacher ratios foster meaningful relationships and personalized instruction. Academic specialists provide individualized support and enrichment as students grow.
