'09 Ted Gates '09 wrote: Reflecting on my time at Latin, I'm reminded of how formative those years were in shaping my journey. Since graduating in 2009, I've built a career at CBRE as an industrial real estate broker, representing both corporate occupiers and landlords. Life outside of work has been equally fulfilling. I live in Lincoln Park with my wonderful wife, Hannah and our two daughters, Beatrice and Louisa. In December 2024, we had the joy of welcoming Louisa into our family, making this past holiday season an especially memorable and heartwarming time. Wendy Onofre-Shah '09 founded LVL UP COFFEE in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. The coffee shop was created to be "an upscale and welcoming environment where customers can ideate, plan and connect with one another." '10 Elena Cohn '10 and Giancarlo Pasquesi '08 celebrated three years of marriage this year. Their first date was at Prom 2008! '11 Jacqueline Birkel '11 is the founder of Round, a startup focused on making payments accessible for small businesses, specifically targeting beauty and wellness micro-merchants. Jacqueline was passionate about amplifying what life could look like after graduating from Latin. Taylor Golub '11, Tony Walner '11, Teddy Nagaro '11, Jacqueline Surdell '11 and Nikki Dizon '12 reunited to take home the championship for the 2025 spring season through Chicago Sport & Social Club. '14 Bridget Cato '14 and her father, Ernest, compete in The Amazing Race season 37. Eric Gofen '15 connected with classmates Brian Lorenz '15, Tyler Goff '14 and Alexis Lopez '15 at his wedding. '15 Olivia Karas '15 commentated all 3 meets of the 2025 Big Ten Gymnastics Championships on Big Ten Network. MJ Abramovitz '15 married Rafael Abramovitz, a linguist, in Boston on July 6th. Because that wasn't enough excitement for one summer, she wrapped up a Ph.D. in Political Theory at Boston College and heads to a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University in the fall. MJ wrote, "Please reach out if you're in Boston or Princeton and you want to talk about anything... other than political theory!" '16 Catie Cronister '16 was selected to represent Nashville's Top 30 Under 30 Class of 2025. This honor, presented by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, recognized young professionals who made a name for themselves in their careers and will help them grow into community leaders and influencers. Catie then embarked on a 16-week leadership development program, which included a philanthropic competition to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. '21 Bea Parr '21 and Marianne Mihas '21 both earned First Team All-American honors in the distance medley relay this 2025 track and field season.
