SUPPORT at LATIN Since 1888, charitable donations have been paramount to supporting each and every Latin student. Today, donations continue to play a vital role in making our school a premier learning institution. As tuition only covers 80% of the cost to educate each student, gifts from current parents/guardians, alumni, grandparents, corporate partners, faculty and staff ensure that students across all divisions have access to the full Latin experience — an experience that allows all Romans to discover their purpose, passions and whole selves. $1,924,085 ROMANS RAISE & REVEL $1,914,436 LATIN FUND ANNUAL GIVING (2023–24) TOTAL: $3,838,521 The LATIN FUND is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts each year and means the difference between a very good school and a great one. The fund helps us recruit and retain outstanding faculty and staff, attract talented students from across the city and provide a dynamic and innovative school environment. We strive for 100% parent/guardian participation on an annual basis to help fuel every program and initiative at the school. Every year, Latin hosts an all-school fundraising event, alternating between ROMANS RAISE & REVEL and the SCHOLARSHIP DINNER. These free events bring together our full community of parents/guardians, faculty, staff and friends, and are made possible by individual and corporate sponsorships. Last year's event raised a record $1.9 million, which bolstered our $5.2 million commitment to financial aid and helped provide nearly 150 students with scholarships. In addition to our annual funding support, donors make legacy gifts that include donations to our ENDOWMENT and PLANNED GIFTS. Contributions to our endowment safeguard our school and ensure its financial stability. Likewise, planned gifts are an important way for members of our community to make a commitment through their trust or estate plans. Both of these long-term investments provide permanent support for scholarships, professional development, athletics, learning resources and more. 9 A N N UA L R E P O R T 2 0 2 3 – 24
