FINANCIAL AID AT LATIN Latin School of Chicago believes that students learn best when their peers are from a variety of economic, cultural and geographic backgrounds. Our philosophy is guided largely by Latin's mission statement, which reflects our commitment to creating "a community that embraces the diversity of people, cultures and ideas." We are proud to be able to award more than $5.2 million in need- based aid annually. The Financial Aid Office strives to assist families for whom the cost of independent school tuition is the only barrier to attendance. Latin has a need-sensitive financial aid policy. This means that all admitted students demonstrating need will be funded, but the number of students needing financial aid who can be admitted is restricted based on our budget.
