F R O M L E A D E R S H I P Dear Latin Community, It is an honor to write to you and share this inspiring report, which demonstrates what can be accomplished when a dedicated and generous community comes together around our most precious asset: our students! As three new leaders to Latin, we are very grateful for your partnership in fueling our school's world-class academic and co-curricular programs. This report reflects back on the 2021–22 school year, a time when students and teachers returned to physical classrooms even as COVID-19 was still felt in significant ways. Despite these challenges, the pages that follow reaffirm the strength, resilience, heart of this community — as well as its unwavering commitment to our students' growth and success. During the 2021–22 school year, Latin also made great strides toward the goals outlined in its strategic design process LEAD (Learn, Engage, Advance and Develop): teachers developed curricula that deepened learning for each student; students, families and alumni engaged in learning both on our campus and across the city; the school advanced its investment in leadership, faculty and staff positions in order to enhance our students' experience; and we secured assets that will make it possible for us to develop a reimagined campus in the years ahead. Indeed, none of this would have been possible without the support of parents and guardians, faculty, staff, alumni and friends. You are not only the school's greatest cheerleaders — you are also our greatest partners in ensuring Latin's continued vitality. Through your gifts to the Latin Fund, Scholarship Dinner, Endowment, #GoYouRomans Giving Challenge and other special giving initiatives, you've played a significant role in fulfilling our mission to provide students with a rigorous and innovative education in a community that embraces the diversity of people, cultures and ideas. During the 2021–22 school year, 1,190 young learners were given the tools to pursue their passions and to lead lives of purpose. Looking ahead, your gifts will continue to make this possible — not only for current students, but also for generations of Romans to come. For that, we are extremely grateful! With great thanks, Dr. Thomas Hagerman Head of School Dottie Bris-Bois Chief Development Officer Robert Chapman '78 Chair, Board of Trustees "...the pages that follow reaffirm the strength, resilience, heart of this community — as well as its unwavering commitment to our students' growth and success."
