C O V I D - 1 9 R E S P O N S E September 18, 2020 Upper school welcomes students to campus for in-person cohort visits, where half of each grade level can return to the building for one day out of the eight-day cycle. All classes remain remote, but while on campus, students may meet with teachers, collaborate or attend classes over Zoom. October 26, 2020 Upper school students return for limited in-person instruction at the start of Quarter 2. Each grade level is on campus for two full days on their current cohort days in our eight-day cycle. November 18, 2020 All divisions immediately shift to remote learning. This decision is guided by all of the data Latin has, including the externally-driven rising caseload across the school, as well as the new evidence of in-school transmission. The best way to keep students and employees as safe as possible is to shift to a fully remote model for all students. IN THE YEAR OF COVID... January 8, 2021 Latin's COVID-19 Dashboard, a tool to track positive COVID-19 cases, is visible to the Latin community. November 25, 2020 Lower school and fifth grade students write heartwarming messages to 515 alumni from the Classes of '38–'70 for the Thanksgiving holiday. September 21, 2020 Middle school students transition to a full hybrid schedule, with half of the day remote and half of the day in-person. Fifteen percent of middle school faculty and 10% of MS students are fully or partially remote. January 4, 2021 Latin begins weekly saliva testing for students and employees.
