Marriages & Unions David Mendelson reports that several generations of the Mendelson clan traveled to Ein Gedi, Israel, for his son Devin's Bar Mitzvah. "The actual event took place in Ein Gedi…. just up from the shores of the Dead Sea….the biblical setting where David hid from King Saul amongst the caves of Ein Gedi. We then went by Jeep 10 miles into the desert. At the foot of some Roman (Go Romans!) ruins, we held the celebration with Middle Eastern BBQ, camel ride and local musicians. In the photo, among many grandparents and cousins (from both the U.S. and Israel), you have the following nine Latin grads and current students: Bob Mendelson '52, Debbie Mendelson Ponn '80, David Mendelson '84, Sharon Mendelson Markman '82 (face is unfortunately covered on the right end of the photo) Leland Markman '13, Alexa Markman '15, and my children Devin '18, Michael '20 and Emily '23." Chloe joins big sister Scarlett (5) and big brother Samuel (3).
