They have three children, daughters Kate and Polly, who live in the San Francisco Bay area, and son Greg, who lives in the Chicago suburbs, and seven grandchildren. Their oldest granddaughter, Catherine Rose Ammirati, is in law school, seeking to extend a multi-generational tradition of Mayer family attorneys going back to Denny's grandfather.
